Refund Policy
General Policy
Luxury trains:

Once a reservation has been made, train tickets must be paid in full within the time limit, otherwise the reservation will automatically be cancelled by the system. SA Travel Booking will notify customers of the time limit.

Where the time limit has lapsed, the passenger may rebook, pending availability. No cancellation levy will be charged where a reservation was automatically cancelled by the system and the Passenger wishes to rebook.

SA Travel Booking will not be responsible/liable for any claims/refunds as a result of inadequate services provided by the service provider.

Refund Policy
Luxury trains:

All refund claims must be accompanied by a refund claim form which will be supplied on request.
No refund applicable less than 48 hours prior to departure.
No refunds will be made once the train has departed
.
No refunds may be made to members of the group who did not travel with the group to whom tickets were issued.
Cancellations:
An administration fee is payable for cancellations later than 48 hours prior to departure.

A
cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking value + VAT is applicable
Example:
Total Value of Booking
R1000.00
Refund Amount (20%) R 200.00

minus VAT (14% of refund amount)

R   14.00

Refund amount payable to Customer

R 786.00


A rebooking (change of departure date) may only be done once, where after an administration fee will be payable.
Refunding will be considered on merit
where sickness, injuries or death played a role in a Passenger having to suspend or cancel his journey.
